The most common pests found in the area include ants, cockroaches, termites, bed bugs, rodents, and spiders.
It depends on the type of treatment being performed. In most cases, you do not need to leave your home during treatment. However, we may recommend that you leave your home for a few hours if a more extensive treatment is required.
The length of a pest control treatment depends on the type and severity of the pest infestation. Most treatments take between 30 minutes to 2 hours.
While most pest treatments typically reduce the general pest population, over time pest populations build back up and treated surfaces lose their protective barrier from a one-time treatment. One-time treatment effectiveness fades fairly quickly for most pesticides on vegetation, especially as plants continue to grow, generating new untreated surface area, including lawns. This is why we recommend recurring treatments to help manage ongoing activity in outdoor areas and on greenery. Certain areas like cracks and crevices, and non-porous surfaces can provide a stable surface for some products to last longer, however, UV light will degrade the treatment as well. Treatments to the structure of the home can last the longest but have little impact on the pest activity in the yard after a few weeks from one single treatment.
If you are seeing pests right after your treatment, odds are you are witnessing them flee your property, which typically means the treatment is effective. If after a week you are still seeing pests, give us a call and our service professional will gladly return to treat your home at no additional cost.
